Adoption Open Day

Overview

Two Hundred Sofas And Counting

On the first Saturday of every month we open the garden to local rescues. Families meet dogs and cats in a relaxed setting — no kennels, no pressure — with our behaviourists on hand to advise on the right match and a free first vet check for every adoption.

The Challenge

Shelter environments make even lovely pets shut down, so visitors walk past them. We needed meetings that show each animal's real personality — playful, cuddly or gloriously lazy.

Our Approach

Home checks are done in advance, so approved families can take a pet home the same day. Every match includes a starter pack, four weeks of phone support and a free puppy-school or cat-confidence session.

The Outcome: Full Houses, Empty Kennels

Last year's twelve open days rehomed 68 dogs and 41 cats — and our follow-up calls show 97% are still happily settled.
